RAF Chinook helicopters and A400M aircraft equipped for wildfire firefighting in the UK
The RAF will equip Chinook helicopters and A400M aircraft with specialist firefighting equipment to tackle wildfires across the UK from the air. The capability will be permanently based in the UK and available through the Military Aid to the Civil Authorities process when requested by civilian fire and rescue services.
