Operation Iceblast (Merlin tracking of Russian intelligence ship)
Merlin helicopters were sent at short notice from RNAS Culdrose in Cornwall to Glasgow Prestwick Airport. From there they used their sensors to follow the Russian Vishnya-class intelligence ship Viktor Leonov near the Outer Hebrides.
