HMS Queen Elizabeth three-month training and NATO deployment
HMS Queen Elizabeth left Portsmouth on 5 September 2026 for a three-month deployment after an extended repair period. She is carrying out advanced training under Flag Officer Sea Training and working with allies on readiness and deterrence. She took on the NATO Afloat Command Platform role in July 2026. The Royal Navy says she is working back towards very high readiness duty, which she will take over from HMS Prince of Wales in 2027.
