Falkland Islands patrol ship (South Atlantic) – HMS Medway
HMS Medway took over from HMS Forth in January 2026 as the Royal Navy's permanent patrol ship in the Falkland Islands and wider South Atlantic. She moved there from the Caribbean. Navy Lookout reported in July 2026 that she had made a humanitarian run to Tristan da Cunha. It also reported a routine passage along the Argentine coast to the Chilean port of Punta Arenas, which drew a diplomatic row with Argentina.
