P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol from RAF Lossiemouth, including Iceland deployment
No. 120 and No. 201 Squadrons fly the P-8A Poseidon from RAF Lossiemouth to protect UK maritime interests. In autumn 2025 three Poseidons deployed to Keflavik in Iceland for NATO peacetime vigilance in the North Atlantic and High North. This was the largest overseas deployment of the type so far. They worked with US and Canadian crews. RAF reporting in late November 2025 treated the Iceland deployment as complete. I found no newer deployment details.
