NATO Eastern Sentry air defence patrols over Poland
In September 2025 the UK committed RAF Typhoons to NATO's Eastern Sentry mission after Russian drones entered Polish airspace. The jets fly round-trip air defence missions over Poland from their home base at RAF Coningsby. Voyager tankers from RAF Brize Norton support them. They fly alongside Danish, French and German aircraft. The MOD said this would not affect UK Quick Reaction Alert duties. Wikipedia describes the mission as having no stated end date. I found no recent official statement on whether RAF patrols are still flying.
